Wherever suits you best of two options: we collect you in Georgetown, or you meet us at the tour’s standard departure point — usually Parika, the river hub about an hour from Georgetown where the Essequibo boats depart. You choose during the booking request, and we confirm the exact time and place with your quote.

Yes. On some tours — like the Pomeroon overnight and the Mahaica River Tour — Georgetown pickup is included in the price. On the Essequibo and Pomeroon day tours it’s an add-on of US$25 per person. Any surcharge is always shown before you submit your request.

Usually, yes — the kitchens we work with are small and personal, and they can cook around most needs if they know in advance. Tell us about any restrictions or allergies in your booking request. For serious allergies, we follow up with you directly before the tour rather than leaving it to a form field.

Our tours operate from just two guests, with a preferred maximum of eight — small enough that the day still feels like yours. The Rupununi expedition is different: as a multi-day journey it has its own group rules, which are explained on its page and confirmed during the inquiry.

Our day trips and the Pomeroon overnight are shaped as family-friendly experiences, and the exact details — minimum ages, what works for which trip — are being confirmed per tour with the operator. Ask in your request and we’ll give you a straight answer for your dates. The one firm rule already: the Rupununi expedition is adults only.

All prices are in US dollars, shown per person — so “US$120” is exactly what it looks like, no currency conversion needed. Guyana uses the Guyanese dollar locally, but we quote and confirm everything in USD. Payment and deposit details are confirmed personally with your quote; nothing is charged through this website.

Sun protection, a light rain layer, insect repellent, footwear that can get wet, a dry bag for your phone and camera, and a change of clothes if your tour includes a river swim. It genuinely depends on the tour, so here’s the honest version: Mahaica is close to Georgetown but starts at 4:00 am. Essequibo 101 is a comfortable day built around boat rides. The Pomeroon day tour is a long travel day — that’s exactly why many guests choose the overnight version instead, which spreads the same journey across two easy days. Rupununi is a five-day expedition with roughly 18 hours of total road time. Every tour page states its own travel intensity plainly.
